Hometown: McBain, Michigan

Oldest of four (sister age 23 and brothers ages 19 and 13)

2009 Graduate of Grand Valley State University –

 Majored in Finance and Marketing

I love sports. Playing and watching. Basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, football…

The Detroit Tigers are my all time favorite professional sports team in the entire world. I may or may not be obsessed. 

I studied abroad in London, England for a summer.

I like to disc golf. And play corn hole.

My friends and I like to build things together. We built a lot of the furniture in our apartment. A bed, tv stand, corn hole, and even built a picnic table in our kitchen. 

I fell in love with backpacking on my first ever trip - to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up.

I am a sucker for reality TV shows.

I love YoungLife

I love camping. And campfires. And smores with peanut butter!

I'm a night owl. Mornings are not my thing.

I love watching thunderstorms during the night.

Stargazing is great.

I am deathly afraid of water. 

I like to talk. A lot. 

A good book is a great way to spend a rainy day. Unless I am dancing in the rain. 

One time in Tennessee I went spelunking and zorbing with my friends.

I love to travel.

Being outdoors is the best. Hiking, biking, or boating.

I love my family.

Laughter is a necessity of life.

God's grace is amazing. 

I love serving others. 

That was my bio pre-World Race. I still love all of those things. However, let me tell you more about myself. I like lists…

1.       I was born and raised in northern Michigan in a town called McBain. It’s literally the middle of nowhere. There are more cows than people.

2.       I moved back home after I went on the World Race to save up some money and figure out what God’s next step for my life is.

3.       I’m a 2009 grad from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Marketing and I hate my degree.

4.       Currently substitute teaching at my old school and loving it!

5.       I love mission trips. My first one was the summer after my freshman year of high school to North Carolina. Then I went to Romania spring break of my senior year of high school. During college I went to New Orleans (many times after Hurricane Katrina); Biloxi, MS; East Palo Alto, CA; Jamaica; Las Vegas; Galveston, TX

6.       I went on the World Race in September 2010 and got home in August of 2011. Q Squad! Best experience of my life! God wrecked my world!

7.       I love feedback sessions and communities of high honor and high grace.

8.       I love Africa. And Asia. And Europe.

9.       I’ve known Jesus all of my life but really got to know Jesus when I went to college.

10.   I am so excited to serve in New Zealand. I’m excited to meet new people and experience new cultures. I’m excited to live in close community and be held accountable. I’m excited to live life!
