Well. My name is Wes. I live in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Representing good ole' Gwinnett county!! (not!) Currently, I am a sophomore at Georgia Gwinnett College. I plan on transfering in the Fall to either Kennesaw State or UGA for anthropology. One day, I hope to go into Missionary Anthropology or do something else in ministry. I do not have a job but praise God for Financial Aid! I'd probably be a bum living under a bridge if I didn't have it.
For interests and such, I play soccer and climb trees. Pretty much it boils down to me doing anything to keep me preoccupied. I also play a little guitar and didgeridoo. Besides that junk, I am mostly involved with a church called Ekklesia that me and a few buddies started a year ago in a basement. We just moved into a new building and are receiving roughly 200 people a night. It's a complete act of God!
ย I do enjoy me a nice chick flick. Yes, I do have a sensitive side that gets the best of me sometimes. I am a triplet. Sadly, I'm the only boy :( I guess that's how I got the taste for sappy movies. I like to pretty much eat anything and can't wait to try new foods in NZ. For music taste, I love christian screamo and prophetic/spontaneous worship. Give me some Ember Days, Ascend the Hill, or Jonathan Helser and we're good to go! My favorite animal is a blue whale. Why you may ask? Well because it's the largest animal on earth and I would love to swim with one just to experience the majesty of our Creator. I also have the humor of a 5-year old, so expect an immature and silly side to come out of me.
The only mission trip I've been on was in Arizonia on an Indian reservation when I was in high school.
I am stoked for the NZ trip! For starters, I AM OBSESSED WITH NZ! Not only do third world countries need Jesus, even the "Christian" countries need Him; if not more. The Lord has put NZ on my heart for a little over 3 years and I finally get to go. I have no expectations, which I've been praying for because I want to see God wreck my mind and move by His perfect timing in the hearts of the Kiwis. I want to see the lukewarm on fire and the Bride come back to her Maker. I want the Holy Spirit to move and destroy our puny theology of what we think of Him. Instead, I want to experience Him!
